Privacy Policy
Brain Path, LLC ("Brain Path," "we," "us," or "our") provides specialized driving instruction in Virginia. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By contacting us or registering for lessons, you agree to the practices described here.
Information we collect
Information you provide
When you contact us or register for lessons, we collect the information you choose to give us, which typically includes:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your phone number
- Information about the student, which may include their age and any details you choose to share about how they learn (for example, anxiety, or a diagnosis such as autism or ADHD)
We only ask for information we need to respond to you and to provide safe, effective instruction.
Information collected automatically
Our website is intentionally simple. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which means Google's servers may receive standard technical data (such as your IP address) when a page loads.
How we use your information
We use the information you provide to:
- Respond to your questions and requests
- Recommend the right program and schedule lessons
- Register students and deliver instruction
- Communicate with you about lessons, scheduling, and billing
- Keep records required for our business and legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information.
Sensitive information about students
Because Brain Path serves learners with anxiety, neurodivergence, and other learning differences, families sometimes share sensitive details about a student. We treat this information with care. We use it only to evaluate fit, tailor instruction, and keep lessons safe, and we do not share it except as described below or as required by law.
How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We share it only:
- With trusted service providers who help us operate (for example, scheduling or payment processors), and only as needed to provide their service
- When required by law, or to protect the safety of a student, our staff, or the public
- With your direction or consent
Children's privacy
Our instruction often involves minors. When a parent or guardian shares information about a minor with us, we use it only to provide our services. Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information through this site, please contact us and we will delete it.
Data retention
We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide our services and to meet our legal, tax, and record-keeping obligations, after which we securely delete or de-identify it.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
You may ask us to access, correct, update, or delete the personal information we hold about you. To make a request, contact us using the details below. Depending on your circumstances, Virginia law may give you additional rights regarding your personal data; we will honor applicable rights and respond to verified requests as required.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the "Last updated" date above.
